Watercolor ATCs

Here are a few small scale watercolors I made this month. I've been experimenting with different techniques, especially with latex masking fluid.

Fishing Cove

Here's another ATC. This one was fun to make. I ran some mulberry paper through my laser printer to print out the little fish. Then I mod-podged it onto a 30 year old map of a portion of the Rhode Island coast line. Then I finished it off with some sewing machine stitching along the edges.

I've started a new series of ATCs. It's called Insects of East Tennessee in homage to my new home and the abundant wildlife herein.

Today's drawing is inspired by Dashboard Confessional's Vindicated. I think I'm going to do a whole series based on these lyrics. (Is that too corny?)

So I'm still on this bird kick, but the last few drawings I've done have been ATCs. ATCs are artist's trading cards and the format is 2.5 in x 3.5 in. It's been kinda fun going mini. I have 4 so far. I've been playing with different media with these, also.
